Mike Tobash is a seasoned financial professional and retired Pennsylvania State Representative who brings a unique blend of public service leadership, policy expertise, and financial industry experience. Holding FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65 registrations with LPL Financial, along with multiple insurance licenses—including Accident and Health, Life and Fixed Annuities, Variable Life/Variable Annuity, Casualty, and Property lines—he is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, demonstrating a strong commitment to ethical investment practices and client-focused financial guidance.

During his distinguished tenure in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Tobash held several key leadership roles, including Majority Chairman of the Subcommittee on Vocational & Technical Training and appointments to the House Majority Policy Committee. He also served on and led influential pension oversight bodies, including the Public Pension Management and Asset Investment Review Commission and the Public Employees Retirement Commission.

As Chairman of the Public Pension Management Asset and Investment Review Commission, Tobash spearheaded efforts to improve transparency, governance, stress testing, and cost analysis for Pennsylvania’s largest public pension systems (PSERS and SERS). These initiatives resulted in projected long-term savings of $8.2 to $9.9 billion. He also introduced comprehensive pension reform legislation (HB 1499, known as “The Tobash Plan”), with estimated savings of $11 to $15 billion.

A strong advocate for education and workforce development, Tobash founded the Business Education Partnership (Act 168 of 2016), fostering collaboration between educators and local industries to better prepare students for career success. Additionally, he co-sponsored Act 6 of 2017, reducing standardized testing requirements for career and technical students, and supported key legislation benefiting the insurance, mining, and automotive sectors.

Beyond public office, Tobash has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service. His leadership roles include Trustee of Alvernia University, Board Member of the Pottsville Area Development Corporation, Schuylkill County Airport Authority, and Northeastern PA Alliance, as well as past Board Chair of St. Joseph Center for Special Learning. He has also served with the Schuylkill United Way and as President of the Family Service Agency.

An active member of civic and sportsman organizations, Tobash is involved with the National Rifle Association, Trout Unlimited, local volunteer fire companies, and regional sportsman clubs.
